I tried to override a Text/Number Field in Opportunity which doesnt give any option for Reference. So, you can’t override them to Reference (but, in documentation its said i can).

What version of Skuid are you on? This functionality is available as of the Brooklyn release, which you can find on the Skuid Releases Page. If you decide to upgrade, we recommend installing new versions in a non-business critical sandbox environment to test all mission critical functionality before installing into a production environment. We also recommend that you update out of date themes when you upgrade.
