Unable to generate custom error message on missing 'Required' fields on Page

edited May 29, 2019 in Questions
We have field i.e. required on the field editor and I am using a Custom Label for that field. Once I click on save, we are getting the below error.

Required Fields has no value [<Salesforce Field Label Name>]

But instead of displaying the Salesforce field Label, how can we display the Custom Label used in skuid for the error message ?

Required Fields has no value [<Custom Field on Skuid>]

Hey Sourav Roy, thank you for the good question. Did you try the option "Override field metadata"? You can find it if you go to the Skuid model, go to Fields and click the field. Once you enabled "Override field metadata", you can enter a custom "Label". This will then be displayed in the error message. Hope that's helpful for you!
You can find more details about overriding field metadata here: https://docs.skuid.com/latest/v1/en/skuid/fields/field-metadata-overrides.html
